August 14th and 15th - Passport to History Weekend - Weekend #2. Museum open both days from noon to 4:00 pm
The Alburtis Lockridge Historical Society would like to send our sincere condolences and prayers to the Oswald family on the passing of Al Oswald Sr. Allen was a past president of our society. He and his wife Jean were very instrumental in many, countless projects within the society. Allen and I talked many times on the history of Alburtis and 'old times.' He was my go to guy when I had questions about Alburtis's past history.
He will truly be missed.

The Alburtis Lock Ridge Historical Society welcomes you!!
The Alburtis Lock Ridge Historical Society was formed in 1976 by a small group of individuals to preserve the local history of the villages of Alburtis and Lock Ridge.
Our Mission: Preserve the history of the towns Alburtis & Lock Ridge, along with the outlying areas.
Description: The Borough of Alburtis was incorporated in 1913 by the joining of two villages, Alburtis & Lock Ridge. The Alburtis-Lock Ridge Historical Society began in 1976, the year of our country's bicentennial. We are a group to preserve the history of the villages of Alburtis and Lock Ridge. The Society calls home the former Lock Ridge Memorial Presbyterian Church. Museum possessions include the church's cornerstone contents, keepsakes from businesses and former businesses and many old photographs, including nearly 100 from 1906. The Alburtis Lock Ridge Historical Society offers several museum open houses throughout the year and several events. Tours are also available by appointment for groups, organizations and educational outlets. We are a small group of only about 12 individuals. We are always looking to increase our membership to expand our membership rolls & revitalize the organization.
We would like to encourage you to become a member of our organization. We are always looking for individuals who are interested in preserving the history of our town, Alburtis, Lock Ridge and the surrounding area.
Please contact us for a membership application to join our organization. If you do not wish to join today, please consider joining us in the future. We also welcome donations, whether it is an artifact or monetary. All donations are tax deductible, as we are a non-profit, 501c, class 3 organization.
